Gov’t Cancels Issuing Of IPD To Importers

Commerce Minister Wilson K. Tarpeh

The Liberian Government has with immediate effect announced the cancellation of the issuing of all Import Permit Declarations (IPDs) to importers in the country, according to the Minister of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), Professor Wilson.

According to the Minister, importers are now free to import their goods into  the country without being bothered with the issue of the IPD which has over the years created ‘bad blood’ between importers and the Liberian government.

This latest development from the Liberian government has brought relief to hundreds of importers who over the years have been complaining.
