Former Ruling Party Hunts For National Chairman, As Several Lobby With Boakai and Ellen To Be Favored

Information gathered by the GNN has revealed that several partisans of the former ruling Unity Party (UP) are preparing to be vetted in the selection of the Chairmanship of the party in its next convention to be held following the crackdown of this deadly  Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Sources closed to the party’s hierarchy informed the GNN that permanent partisans of the Unity Party including businessman, Amin Modad, Chief Executive of Belle Casa Hotel, Montserrado County District # 3 Representative, Ceebee C.D. Barshell, River Gee County Senator, Conmany B. Wesseh, Representative Prince Moye of Bong County who is also Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives  and several others who names are yet to be known are expected also to be in the vetted booth during the Party’s upcoming National Convention sometimes this year.

GNN source also revealed that the contenders for the Party’s Chairmanship are doing all the necessary underground works by lobbying with the party’s political leader, Joseph N. Boakai, and the former political party leader Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf  in order to be favored for the position.

According to information, partisans of the former ruling Unity Party who are expected to be the voters during the Convention of the party are said to be following up with the person who they believed can make a difference after the departure of the Party former Chairman, Wilmot Paye.
