Father, Step Mother Arrested For Starving 11-Year Old To Death For Three Weeks
The Liberia National Police here in Monrovia is investigating a man identified as Emmanuel Brown over the death of his 11-year old son, Jeremy Brown, who was discovered abandoned with insects and ants all over his body.
The incident which took place early this week in the ELWA Hospital Community was alleged to have been as a result of abandonment by Mr. Brown, the biological father of the child and his wife having observing observed that little Jer emy was suffering from epilepsy.
According to report gathered, this little kid had been allegedly kept as prisoner by his step mother in a zinc house for close to five months without food eat or water to drink, and was reported been fed on anything that he could lay his hand on including plastic and pieces of mattress in the room where he was kept.
Sources said, a resident of the community who was passing by heard this child screening for survival, this drew the attention of the individual who reported this to the community leader that some strange sound was coming out of Mr. Brown’s residence, this eventually led to the rescue of the child who died minute after he was rescued.
Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police has arrested both Mr. Brown and his wife who was later released due to her pregnancy.
