Ex-Rangers forward El-Hadji Diouf released by police after being ‘arrested’ for alleged death threat

Former Rangers star El-Hadji Diouf has reportedly been released from custody after he was ‘arrested’ for making death threats.

The 37-year-old ex-Senegal forward was said to have been held by cops in his homeland.

According to audio released by Senenews, the old Light Blues player was locked up after threatening the brother of the President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council over the phone.

He is alleged to have said: “I’m going to kidnap you, my guys are going to beat you up.”

The report also claims he made threats to kill another person.
