Dozens Of Liberian Journalists Worship At Forky Klon Jlateh Family Fellowship Church On Sunday
Dozens of Liberian media practitioners including media managers, senior editors and reporters on Sunday, January 8, 2023 took up time upon the invitation of the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah to worship with members of the Forky Klon Jlateh Family Fellowship Church; a worship center built by the Liberian leader.
Located in the suburb of Paynesville, Monrovia, the service which was also graced by the Chief Patron of the church, President Weah and a representative of the Guinean embassy accredited to Liberia saw journalists dancing and singing to the glory of God at this beautifully designed edifice of the church.
The preacher of the day was one of the senior pastors of the church, Jestina Miracle Diabe who was spiritually prepared to speak to the congregation with her message of peace and unity as the country approaches the much talked about 2023 general and presidential elections come October.
Pastor Diabe whose powerful spiritual message made many of the worshippers including visiting journalists at the church also appreciated the wonders of God, and also urged Liberians to put their trust in God and not man, noting, “Man will fail you, but God will not … trust in him he will deliver you”, she told the congregation on Sunday.
For his part, the Chief Patron of the Church, President Weah expressed thanks and appreciation to the Liberian media community, making specific reference to the leadership of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) and the Publishers Association of Liberia (PAL) for coming to his call to worship with members of his Church.
Immediately after the church service, a daylong sporting events including basketball, Volleyball, and tennis games were held at the President’s Jamaica Resort on the Monrovia/Robertsfield highway between the media and members of the President’s team couple with all kinds of food and drinks were served the journalists.
