Deputy Speaker Koffa Puts Smile On The Face Of Liberian Medical Doctor Studying Cardiothoracic Surgery At Addis Ababa University
Recently this outlet reported that a Liberian medical doctor studying cardiothoracic surgery (Heart, Lungs and diseases of the chest) at the Addis Ababa University in an exclusive interview made an appeal to individuals and humanitarian organizations to come to his rescue in order to settle his financial obligation for the continuation of his medical study in that country.
Following months of urgent ‘SOS’ calls, and endless waiting for such assistance, Dr. Jonathan Minagogo Hart, one of Liberia’s youngest medical doctors finally got a favourable response from a Liberian humanitarian and lawmaker, HonCllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa who assured Dr. Hart to help him overcome some of his financial worries by agreeing to settle the tuition of US$26,270.00 at that prestigious University in order to continue his study.
According to sources closed to the beneficiary (Dr. Hart), HonClrr. Koffa who is also the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives has assured him of helping him to continue his study by making sure that all financial obligation to the University is settle in the shortest possible period.
The generosity of HonCllr. Koffa seems to have no border, amid his numerous contributions to several institutions in the country including the provision of several scholarships to countless number of university students in Monrovia and those in his home County, Grand Kru, while at the same time, 20 volunteer teachers in his district were opportune to receive salaries.
The latest kind gesture of HonCllr. Koffa saw the empowerment of women through the provision of financial contribution of CASH to the Maximum Impact Women Club, and providing scholarship for students in Bong County.
