Deputy Speaker Female Contestant, Moima Briggs Mensah Says Koffa Is The Right Person For The Speakership

As members of the 55^th National Legislature preparing to elect their new Speaker in early January, 2024, one of the contestants of the Deputy Speakership, Bong County Electoral District #6 Representative, Moima Briggs Mensah has called on her colleagues to massively prepare for the election of Cllr Johnathan Fonati Koffa, the Deputy Speaker of the 54^th National Legislature, noting that he is right person for that position.

Representative Briggs Mensah appearing on a local radio station talk show, 5050 on Sky 107 FM on Thursday, December 7, 2023 disclosed that the election of Representative Koffa who is also Grand Kru County District #2 lawmaker has done a lot over the years, and therefore he must be given the opportunity to serve as the 55^th Speaker of the National Legislature.

Some of the callers who called on the show even though they do not have voting rights at the legislature, they however buttressed the call by Representative Briggs Mensah, urging members of the 55^th National Legislature to elect the Deputy Speaker of the 54^th National Legislature as their speaker…
