The newly nominated Minister of National Defence, retired Major General Prince C Johnson III, speaking at the Armed Forces Day symposium on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 called for increment in salaries of military personnel in order to seriously motivate those serving in the National Army.
He also vowed to rally the support of the senate for the increment of salaries of personnel of the army, the Minister designate also boosted that the current AFL has the most educated men and women as such their arrears should commensurate with their level of education qualification.
The former chief of staff made the call Tuesday when he remarked at the end of a day-long symposium organized by the Armed Forces of Liberia under the theme “The Armed Forces of Liberia Commitment to Sustainable Democracy in Contemporary Time”.
