December 30th ‘Weah Step Down’ Protest May Not Hold, As Justice Ministry Denied Organizers’ Permit

The much talk about December 30th, 2019 ‘Weah Step Down’ campaign protest may not hold as the Ministry of Justice in its December 2, 2019 communication has seriously warned the organizers not make any attempt to stage any protest calling for the removal of the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah except by election.

The Justice Ministry in its communication addressed to the Chairman of the Council of Patriots (COP), organizers of the campaign, Mr. Mohamed Ali, the Ministry cited several constitutional issues which it said has ruled out any permit allowing any protest to take place:
