CSA Launches Skills Verification and Payroll Audit of Monrovia School System
Monrovia, Liberia – The Government of Liberia, through the Civil Service Agency (CSA), has announced the commencement of a comprehensive skills and personal verification, coupled with a payroll audit, targeting the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS).
Announcing at a press conference in Monrovia on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, CSA Director-General Josiah Joekai stated that the exercise aims to verify the list of volunteer teachers submitted by the MCSS through a thorough personal and payroll audit.
According to Director-General Joekai, a total of 27 MCSS schools, encompassing 977 Government of Liberia employees and 604 volunteers, are slated to undergo the verification process. He indicated that over 250 individuals are expected to be processed at each verification venue.
Mr. Joekai reaffirmed the CSA’s commitment to collaborating with schools across the nation.
Furthermore, the CSA Director-General disclosed that the institution has officially adopted three critical documents designed to guide its operations over the next five years. These documents include a five-year strategic plan aligned with the government’s ARREST Agenda, a Financial and Procurement Manual Policy, and a Consolidated Annual Work Plan for Fiscal Year 2025.
Director-General Joekai asserted that these adopted documents are cohesive with the objectives of the ARREST Agenda and provide an actionable roadmap for achieving the institution’s goals.
