COVID-19 Surge: As Montserrado Becomes Hottest Spot, Nearly 3000 Cases Confirmed- Chief Medical Officer Urges

Liberia is now becoming the hard hit spot following the reported arrival of the new worrisome Variants of the virus; Montserrado County the seat of the Liberian Government has begun the hottest spot of the virus.

Speaking on state radio, ELBC this morning, June 21, 2021, the Chief Medical Officer of Liberia, Dr. Francis Ketteh, 3,000 confirmed cases have been discovered with 95 deaths, and further called on the public to observe all the measures which including the wearing of masks and the washing of hands and other preventive measures.

 Dr. Ketteh also called on the public to report any suspected case discovered in the community of area, noting that this will help to reduce the spread of the virus, and will help to keep all Liberian healthy.

He also expressed gratitude to those who are adhering to the guideline recently issued by the Ministry of Health to wearing masks and social distancing.
