CNDRA Secures Presidential Performance Excellence Award with Stellar 93.3% Rating

MONROVIA – The Center for National Documents and Records Agency (CNDRA) has officially been honored with a prestigious Performance Excellence Award by President Joseph N. Boakai, following the agency’s remarkable 93.3% score in the 2025 Performance Management and Compliance System (PMCS) assessment.

The recognition, presented by the Cabinet Secretariat of the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, underscores the National Archives’ steadfast dedication to operational efficiency, transparency, and the high standards of governance mandated by the current administration.

Launched by President Boakai in October 2024, the PMCS serves as a cornerstone of the government’s commitment to institutional accountability. By requiring ministries, agencies, and commissions to adhere to rigorous quarterly reporting and performance contracts, the system ensures that all government operations remain strictly aligned with the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID). The PMCS framework is designed not only to foster a culture of results-based management but also to introduce a robust mechanism for tracking performance, with potential sanctions in place for institutions that fail to meet their established targets.

CNDRA’s achievement of a 93.3% rating is a testament to the agency’s strong leadership and seamless team collaboration. During the evaluation period, the agency demonstrated exceptional alignment between its internal Strategic Plan and the broader national development priorities outlined in the AAID.

The agency achieved operational excellence by completing all planned activities under Target One. Furthermore, it reached a perfect 100 percent compliance rate regarding timeliness, cost, and service availability for the issuance of marriage certificates, legal instruments, and certified copies of official documents. This success was bolstered by a strong financial performance, with the agency exceeding its revenue generation projections to reach 101.77 percent of its target.

The official certification ceremony took place on April 20, 2026, at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town. Fittingly, this honor was bestowed upon CNDRA as it participated in the 2026 presidential performance contract signing, marking a significant moment for the agency as it looks to sustain its momentum and continue driving excellence within the Liberian public sector.

As the agency continues to modernize its archives and records management systems, this presidential recognition serves as both a reward for past achievements and a benchmark for future service delivery to the people of Liberia.
