Chief Cyril Allen Opinionates On President Weah’s 4th Annual Address, Releases Statement
Senior partisan of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Chief Cyril A. Allen has publicly analyzed, President George Manneh Weah’s 4th Annual Message to the nation, delivered yesterday, January 25, 2021 to the 54th National Legislature on Capitol Hill.
Chief Allen, considered as one of Liberia’s outspoken politician, and also Chairman emeritus of the former ruling National Patriotic Party (NPP), and also part of the Coalition for Democratic Change which formed part of the ruling establishment, in a prepared statement voiced out his feelings on yesterday address by the Liberian leader:
Greetings fellow Liberian and Partisans of the Mighty Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC);
From; Chief Cyril A. Allen (Senior Partisan.)
My observation from the President’s annual message to the 54th Legislature is that those functionaries charged with the responsibility to disseminate information to the Liberian populace on the activities Projects and programs of the National Government, particularly in the Executive Branch; have done a great disservice to the Government and the Nation at large.
Their failure to perform and discharge their respective duties with diligence is the direct reason why the Government for the past three years have experienced so much negative propaganda from the citizenry, the diaspora, and some of our international partners.
Many of our key functionaries in the information dissemination sector have been preoccupied responding, on social media to unsubstantiated allegations and misinformed hypotheses from detractors; instead of focusing on reporting progress on development initiatives of GOL. The ever willing media houses, within and without Government are always available.
Many thanks to the Standard Bearer of the CDC and President of the Republic for elucidating on the Process, Progress, Achievements and Prospects of the CDC Government not only for the year in review, but also to include the last three years and the next three years leading to the end of the six years.
It is my hope and prayers that our functionaries will use the annual message as a guide and a tool to begin to vigorously Follow up, Support, Promote and Report national Government Policies, Programs and Projects.
If we have to succeed as a Government and regain the confidence of the Mass population of supporters then all Other Functionaries in the Executive and Legislative branches are also encouraged to be diligent in the discharge of their respective duties and avoid creating bottle necks in the Governance process.
Kindest personal regards and best wishes to all.
