CDC ‘Thank You’ Rally Shakes Nation’s Capital, As Partisans Optimistic Of October 10 Victory

Thousands of supporters of the ruling party, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) on Monday, July 17, 2023 stormed the headquarters of the party in Congo Town to graciously show gratitude to their Standard Bearer, President George Manneh for the level work he has done over the years for the people of Liberia.

In their jubilant style of gathering, partisans, government officials and even some journalists who are gin the employ of state-owned media outlets were seen joyously seen in party’s regalia celebrating President Weah’s ‘Thank You Day’.

Some observers including celebrants who spoke to the GNN on the grounds of this colorful occasion referenced that the honor is being giving to the Standard Bearer of the CDC due to his unflinching developmental drive for the people of Liberia since his ascendancy as Liberia’s 23rd President, even though the opposition politicians see this to the contrary.

However, some nonpartisans of the CDC who also spoke to the GNN during this colorful event publicly debunked the assertion by partisans of capturing the presidency on October 10, 2023 as ‘Fallacy’, noting that those who believed that CDC will move for second term are dreaming and must reexamine their thoughts.

For others who were also spoken by the GNN, said October 10, 2023 elections will be a serious time for the Liberian opposition, urging all of those opposition political players to be serious if they are to unseat the CDC-led government.
