Boy 16, Kills Himself In Kakata

Report coming from Kakata, Margibi County has disclosed that a 16-year old boy identified as Rennie P. Tuah has committed suicide on last Sunday, March 21, 2021.

According to the report, Rennie shot himself with a single barrel gun in the world Bank Community thereby resulting to his death.

Speaking to GNN Correspondent in the County, the father of the late Rennie P. Tuah, Mr. Austin G. Tuah said prior to the incident, he asked his son to clear a portion of land at the back of the local agriculture ministry where he works to carry out some agricultural works adding that his son didn’t do it up to the night hours.

“On March 20, 2021, Saturday, I told my son, Rennie to brush a portion of land at the back part of the Local Agriculture Ministry  in Kakata to carry out some agricultural works; from what I instructed ,he didn’t do up to the night hours. At the Night hours of March 20,2021, my son got very drunk to a point that I have to searched all over for him  in the night to have him brought home due to his condition.” He explained.

Father Austin Tuah reported that at 09:00hrs,March 21,2021 he reminded his son to brush the same place he had earlier told  him to brush but couldn’t get his attention at which time according to him, his son was in the house.

Mr. Austin Tuah told our Correspondent, that at 9am March 21, 2021 he reminded his son to clear the site he had earlier told him about but couldn’t get his attention at which time according to him, his son was in door.

According to Mr. Tuah, he left his son sleeping in the room and went to his friend place in the same Community and was subsequently informed that his son has used a single barrel gun and fired himself.

The late Rennie P. Tuah was an 11th grade student of the Francis Mitchell memorial institute in Kakata.

Meanwhile, Police in the County are currently investigating where the late Rennie Tuah may have taken the gun from.

But Community dwellers said the late Rennie have been associating with the disadvantage youths (Zokos) in the community.

They said the late Rennie have attempted taking his own life on two different occasions giving instances on a day he was rescue by his parents on the first occasion and the second time he got missing for three days and was later found in the cassava patch.
