Associate Justice Kabineh Ja’neh Finally Impeached

The Liberian Senate has finally impeached Associate Justice, Kabineh Ja’neh for official mis-conduct and gross breach of duty.

Twenty-two (22) out of the 39 Senators, found Justice Ja’neh guilty of the Road Fund Charge. According to the verdict, of the four-count brought against him by the House of Representatives, Justice Ja’neh was acquitted of three.

Following the presentation of the verdict, the Respondent’s lawyers filed an objection, accusing the Senate Pro-Tempore, Albert Chie, of tempering with the voting rules.

But the application was denied by the Chief Justice, Francis Korkpor.

Announcing the final  Friday, March 29, 2019 verdict, Chief Justice Korkpor, then found Justice Ja’neh guilty for breach of Article 43 of the Liberian Constitution which is an impeachable offense.
