As President Weah Seeks For Dialogue With Telia Urey, Abu Kamara To Settle Impasse, Senator Dillon Rejects Call

Senator Abraham Darius Dillon

As the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah proposes a meeting between rivals in the Montserrado County District # 15 representative by-election which has over the past days witnessed election violence in Logan Town that led to the damage of Telia Urey’s vehicle and wounding several of her supporters by men believed to be supporters of Abu Kamara, a member of the collaborating political parties, Senator Abraham Darius Dillon has called on Ms. Urey not to be a part of the President’s proposed meeting.

According to the Executive Mansion, the purpose of this proposed called meeting by the Liberian leader with both Ms. Telia Urey of the Collaborating political parties and Abu Kamara of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) is to settle the stalemate between both contestants in the ‘re-run’ for Montserrado County representative by-election scheduled in ten day by the National Elections Commission (NEC).

But to the contrary, Montserrado County Senator, Abraham Darius Dillon who is also a member of the collaborating political parties addressing a news conference today publicly rejected the call by the Liberian leader, noting that Ms. Telia Urey will not form part of that meeting with the President, except he, the President openly apologize to her for the destruction of her vehicle and those who got seriously wounded during last Saturday riot in District 15. “Telia Urey will not form part of the President’s dialogue meeting, except he apologize to her for what happened to her last Saturday,” Senator Dillon vowed.
