As Liberia Gets Tougher Under President Weah, Hundreds Of Women To March On Capitol Hill Wednesday

Hundreds of Liberian women and others from the Mano River basin are expected to march on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in order to publicly express their frustration to President George Manneh Weah as to the way things are happening nowadays under his Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) led government.
Prior to their march on Wednesday, the women in their number are expected to converge at the Monrovia City Hall from where they will march to the Liberian leader Ministry of Foreign Affairs office where a statement will be read and presented to the President touching on several issues of national concern, including the continues electoral violence that has permeated in the country in recent time.
According to sources closed to the organizing committee of the group, the objective of the women’s quest is to prevail on the Liberian leader to see reason on how to address some the problem being confronted by the larger society.
Detail of the women’s march on Wednesday will be posted in our subsequent posting.
