Another CDC Lawmaker, Rep Thomas Fallah Wins Deputy Speaker Post

Members of the House of Representatives have elected two executives of the outgoing CDC-led government as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectfully for the 55th session of the National Legislature to steer the affairs of that august body.

Earlier today, January 15, 2024, the outgoing Deputy Speaker ascended to the speakership of the 55th session of the national legislature with a margin of 36 votes while his contender, Rep. Richard Nagbe Koon was defeated with 31 votes.

For the deputy speakership election today, CDC Representative of Lofa County District 1, Thomas Fallah won 42 votes over Rep Musa Hassan Bility of Nimba County District 7.
