Amongst those who paid tribute to the fallen Liberian journalist included the former Vice President of Liberia, Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai, the Liberian government through the Mr. Ledgerhood Julius Rennie, Minister of Information Culture Affairs and Tourism, the Liberian media community the President of the Press Union of Liberia, Charlies Coffey, and representatives of a US based Association Liberian Journalists in the Americas (ALJA).
Paying his tribute, the publisher of Liberia’s oldest newspaper, Daily Observer, Kenneth Yakpawolo Best, who is considered as the old hands in the business poured praises on the fallen Liberian journalist who started his journalism career with the Daily Observer.
During Mr. Best’s tribute, the journalism advisor at Internews Network, Mr. Maureen Sieh burst into tears as Mr. Best tribute was being paid recounting the journalism work during his life on earth.
The saddened occasion which was lighting up with beautiful melodious Kru and English songs was graced by the late Wesseh’s family including his wife Teplah Wesseh and children who arrived from the United States to pay their last respect to their fallen father and husband.
The remains was later buried in Brewervill, outside Monrovia.
