Amid Sanctioned By U.S. Gov’t For Corruption, Nathaniel McGill Seeks Help From Religious Group
One of the designated sanctions senior Liberian Government officials, Nathaniel McGill who is currently under suspension for corruption has gone Bong County to seek the blessing hands of God through some local religious groups, noting that he is innocent of the charges levied against him by the United States Treasury Department.
According to report from Gbarnga, Bong County, the group used the occasion to pray to God for the removal of the sanctions placed on the suspended Minister State for Presidential Affairs by the U.S. Treasury Department.
Speaking at the program, Mr. McGill said the allegations levied against him by the U.S. Government is false and misleading, noting that he has written the President, George Manneh Weah to allow the Ministry of Justice to get involve.
During his speech, McGill made a financial contribution of One Thousand United States Dollars to the group, and One Hundred United States Dollars to the traditional singing group, promising of joining the traditional choir.
