Amid Country’s Leadership In It’s Hands, Grand Kru Citizens Complain

Grand Kru County Flag – Liberia

GNN Correspondent in the south eastern part of Liberia, specifically Grand Kru County has reported that citizens of the county are murmuring over the lack of real development in the county despite the placement of prominent citizens in Government.

According to our Correspondent in the citizens in that part of the country say they are been left in the cold, despite the well suited of the prominent son’s in the  Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Government including the President of Liberia, George Manneh Weah, Senator Albert Tugbeh Chie, President Pro-tempore of the Liberian Senate and Representative Jonathan Fonati Koffa; Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The citizens speaking to our Correspondent said they have produced strong sons and daughters in the CDC-led government, but their support to the county is yet to be actualized, making specific reference of the housing units that were built only in the home town of President George Weah’s Sasstown instead of the other cities.

Nothing that it is unfair for those from other cities who have reportedly been left out in the President’s housing unit gesture, stressing, “It is not fair for us in the county, we have prominent people in this government, but the development of our county is not visible”, one of the female citizens who spoke to our Correspondent said.
