Alleged Drugs Dealer Vying For District #13 Montserrado County By-Election Race?

Residents of District #13 in the Gardnersville belt are murmuring over the intent of one of the Representative candidates, Edward P. Flomo, affectionately call ‘Color Green’ for his bid for the pending by-election for Montserrado County to replace former Representative, Saah Joseph who was elected as Senator of the County.
With the widespread speculations that Mr. Flomo is an alleged renowned drug dealer that over the years made him wealthy and well grinded financially in the district, some residents of his immediate communities including New Georgia, Iron and battery Factories communities are expressing concern of his legislative bid for their communities.
According to GNN Liberia Source, his closed relationship with other drug dealers in the communities has made him popular and the most powerful untouchable despite of his alleged linked to drugs dealing, this, according to residents of the district who spoke to our reporter this week said they are worried, noting that if he ascend to the level of the legislature, “Our children will be more involved in drugs and other criminal activities,” a resident of Iron Factory in an exclusive interview said.
“If this guy wins, I am sorry our children who are already drowning in the usage of drugs and other dangerous substances will be worst in the future, because their master has ascended to the level of the National Legislature,” Jeremiah Copper, III in an interview with our staff stressed.
But for others who also spoke to the GNN-Liberia welcomed the decision taken by Mr. Flomo as a Liberian who hailed from Lofa County to contest the upcoming by-election for the district, “It is his rights as a Liberian to vote or be voted for”, John Mulbah a resident of Battery Factory speaking to the GNN Liberia said.
