GNN has reliably leant that ahead of the 2023 general and presidential elections, the ruling party is doing all to retain power, including the holding of secret meetings aimed at training individuals for the successful win for the second bid of the George Weah-led government.

According to information gathered by GNN which is yet to be confirmed, the City Mayor of the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC), Jefferson Koijee, a confidant of President George Manneh Weah is said to be the major planner for the recruitment and training of some partisans for this alleged mission.

All effort to contact the Mayor of the City of Monrovia, Jefferson Koijee, who is alleged to be the master planner of this proposed training of young men and women from around Monrovia to combat any eventuality during the 2023 elections has failed, as our reporters could not any information from the MCC on the reported training of partisans ahead of the 2023 elections.

Some political analysts who spoke to the GNN are expressing fear that the upcoming general and presidential elections will be tough, as the CDC-led government is determined to win at all cost due to the reported split within the opposition political parties.

“These guys are now prepared to beat the ruling party during the 2023 elections due to their unwillingness to politically to battle with the current ruling party”, one of the political analysts in a chat with the GNN noted.
