AEL President Strengthens Israel-Liberia Ties Through Faith, Agriculture and Education

ACCRA, Ghana — The President of the Association of Evangelicals of Liberia (AEL), External Director for Israel Allies Foundation, Liberia and Community of Hope Agriculture Project (CHAP), Bishop Robert Bimba has welcomed closer collaboration with the Israeli Embassy in strengthening relations between Israel and Liberia, particularly through faith-based diplomacy, agriculture and education.

The AEL and CHAP President made the remarks following a meeting with His Excellency Roey Gilad, Ambassador of Israel to Ghana, at the Israeli Embassy in Accra.

During the meeting, the delegation and Ambassador Gilad discussed opportunities for strengthening cooperation between Israel and Liberia, with emphasis on the role of faith communities and government in promoting development, agricultural transformation and educational advancement.

The AEL President said he was pleased with the Ambassador’s warm reception and expressed optimism that the engagement would contribute to building stronger relationships between Liberia, Israel and the faith community.

He also highlighted Liberia’s agricultural potential, showcasing Liberian rice to the Israeli Ambassador.

The rice was reportedly well received, while discussions also touched on efforts to advance Liberia’s agricultural sector, including the development of a new U.S.-Dairy Farm initiative.

A special presentation was also made to Ambassador Gilad on behalf of the children of Liberia by Robert Fruitful Bimba and was warmly received by the Ambassador. The Ambassador also presented a gift to 1million Evangelicals Body in Liberia (AEL).

He called on Liberians to use their resources, opportunities, networks and energy to contribute to the country’s development and support one another.

The delegation expressed appreciation to the African Strategic Discipleship Movement (ASDM), particularly Apostle Samuel Gakape of the Church of Pentecost and an ASDM leader, for his role in support.

The AEL President and External Director for Israel Allies Foundation (IAF) further urged continued prayers for Jerusalem, Israel ( the Bible Land), as stated in the Bible: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Psalm 122:6 emphasizes the importance of peace and stronger international relationships.

The AEL President is appealing to His Excellency, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, to join the AEL Executives for an official visit to Israel in 2026, knowing how Liberia stood for Israel in 1949 at the UN.

The meeting is being viewed as an opportunity to deepen cooperation between Liberia and Israel through faith-based diplomacy while promoting initiatives in agriculture, annual pilgrimage to the Bible Land, education, and youth development.

AEL is the only voice for 1million Evangelicals in Liberia and is providing spiritual and holistic ministry services across Liberia and just distributed 2500 gospel solar lights to 2500 pastors and church leaders on August 18th.
