Teachers of the Dweken Community, Forpoh statutory district in Grand Kru County are now the happiest, following the turning over to them a modern teachers’ quarter constructed by Dr. Peter S. Coleman who is also Senator of the County.
The turning over ceremony which was held during the observing of Liberia’s 173rd Independence anniversary brought together dozens of citizens and well-wishers were overwhelmed of the initiative been done by their Senator.
Delivering the Dedicatory remarks, Senator Coleman said he was delighted to have made such contribution in the educational sector, something he said will make meaningful mark in the lives of the Children of the County.
He named education and health as key institutions which he noted has placed more emphasis on his agenda, and further assured the people of Dweken that his development drives will always capture the community of Dweken.
The Twenty thousand United States dollars’ worth of teacher quarter will accommodate teachers who will be assigned to Dweken to mentor the County’s future generation.
Making remarks at the ceremony, women leader Susan Weah expressed thanks and appreciation to the Senator for the initiative, describing him as a hero to the development of women especially in the area of capacity building.
Madam Weah said Senator Coleman’s micro finance initiative is paving the way for women in the county to stand tall against issues that have withheld them in the past.
Speaking on behalf of the District, Statutory Superintend Nathaniel Weah noted that, the contributions of Senator Coleman is far beyond politics making reference to previous contributions of the Grand Kru Law maker prior to his elections as senator
