Wrangling Hits Transport Ministry Under New Minister, As Employees Feel Unhappy

Information gathered by the GNN-Liberia has revealed that the newly appointed and confirmed Minister of Transport, Sirleaf Tyler has vigorously making some unexpected transfer of employees from one department to another without qualification and competency at the amazement of affected employees has given rise to mixed feelings amongst employees at the ministry.

Our investigation furthered discovered that the Minister who is allegedly planning to dismiss people from their respective positions through the office of the human resource department at the ministry without any justifiable reasons or due process, alleging that they were loyalists to his predecessor Samuel Wlu.

According to sources closed to the ministry, while serving as Assistant Minister, Tyler and his immediate boss were not in good relationship, thou causing distance and unfavourable working relationship between both officials, something our sources alleged led to Minister Tyler to reportedly staff being loyal to only him why every other senior staff pay their loyalty to the then minister proper,

Our reporter in a chat with one of the only identified as Amos Borbor, the Minister’s Special Assistant revealed that he has been instructed by his boss to channel every information from his office via the Ministry of Information Culture and Tourism.

However, in an effort to speak with the Director for Press and Public Affairs, Lamuel Clement, said he was not in the best position to speak on the issue, but noted that for the last few weeks since Minister Tyler took over the Ministry, he has allegedly been hearing corridors discussions among some workers, complaining about the Minister attitudes and working relationship with staffers.

When asked as to whether his office is been asked by the office of the Minister, Director Clement cited that “every individual has his or her working style, adding that in his mind what the Minister feels is best in managing the Ministry is what he will do but at the end, whatever is done be a good or bad he will be first the person to take the glory. But if what I hearing about him is true, then that does not mean well for his administration” the Director for Public Affairs noted on the phone with this paper.
