“We Will Order Citizens To Arrest President Weah If” – Rep Yekeh Kolubah Declares

Rep. Yekeh Kolubah

Following hours long tussling with the Deputy Police Commissioner for Operations, Marvin Sarkor on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 for traffic violation, and using invectives on the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah, Montserrado County District # 10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah has again announced another challenge to the presidency.

Speaking on a local radio station, Representative Kolubah said if any attempt is made to have him arrested by the police, he will also ordered the arrest of the Liberian President noting what he called ‘President Weah will be arrested by the citizens’, the tough-talking lawmaker declared.

Liberians on local radio stations condemned Representative Kolubah for pouring invectives on the President who they said had nothing to do with yesterday’s drama when Commissioner Sarkor made an attempt to arrest him for violating Liberia’s traffic laws.

But speaking again on a local radio station, the Montserrado County lawmaker repeated similar invectives on the President, while at the same time making a challenging  to any security officers to order his arrest, adding, “I challenge any police officer to order my arrest; any attempt, I will also order citizens’ arrest for President Weah,” Representative repeatedly said.

In a related development, a local radio station, the Joy FM has placed a news blackout on Representative Kolubah for using invectives of the Liberian presidency.
