The overall goal of the Scaling Up Community Health Activity (“The Activity”) is to support the National Community Health Assistants (NCHA) Program of the Ministry of Health, Liberia, thereby working at the community level to bring the greatest health benefits in hard to reach areas and to reduce health gaps caused by differences such as income, education, race and ethnicity and location.

The Activity will support community-based activities in health, nutrition and disease surveillance, including community events based surveillance in targeted geographic areas in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and other community health structures.
