Two Ukrainian military aircraft IL-76TD destroyed on the territory of Al Jafra airbase in Libya. This is reported by Avia.pro.
The aircraft were destroyed by rocket attacks. Soon information was published that one of the planes suffered as a result of a strike of Bayraktar TB2 Turkish drone, but the army representatives did not confirm this information and added that this drone was shot down from the missile system.
Information agency reports that these planes were transporting prohibited weapons from Turkey to Libya. As a result of the explosion, one of the pilots died.
Facts of Zaporozhye portal claim that the Ukrainian pilot from Melitopol, Volodymyr Bukhalsky, who signed a contract with the Libyan Arab Air Cargo airline, died in a plane crash.
So far, the Ukrainian authorities have not confirmed this information.
Earlier it was reported that as a result of an air strike that struck the detention center for illegal migrants in Tripoli, at least 40 people were killed and 80 people were injured. The government of Libya, which is based in Tripoli, has accused the “war criminal Khalifa Haftar” of air strikes. An official from the Libyan National Army, led by General Khalifa Haftar, denied that his military forces hit the migrants’ detention center. He said that this was done by militants linked to the government in Tripoli, who struck the center after armed forces hit their military camp.
