Analysis by a former senior FBI officer concluded that Russian hackers used a technology company owned by a Russian businessman to hack Democratic Party officials.
The findings in Anthony Ferrante’s report are significant because they support one of the claims in a Russia-linked dossier by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele.
He was one of the first people to raise concerns about Russian interference in the US polls. His 35-page dossier also alleged collusion between the Kremlin and Donald Trump’s campaign, something the president has repeatedly denied.
