Senator Nuquay Breaks Ground For The Construction Of Two Landmark Projects Worth $54K

Senator Nuquay breaking ground as many of his legislative colleagues watched

The newly elected senator of Margibi Atty. James Emmanuel Nuquay along with others colleagues of the national legislature on last  Saturday January 30, 2021 broke ground for the construction of two landmark projects in Garmaymu and Dorma towns along the RIA highway, District one, Margibi county.

The landmarks projects include a USD 24,000 bridge and a USD 30, 000 modern youth center.

Others lawmakers that grace the occasion were Sen. Saah Joseph of Montserrado, Deputy Speaker J. Fonati Koffa, Rep. Edward Kafia of Bong County, Margibi County District #5 Representation, Clarence Garh, Rep. Ellen Attoh-Wreh (Dist. 3, Margibi) Rep. Ben A. Fofana (Dist. 4, Margibi) and Rep. Tibelrosa Tarpoweh (Dist. 1, Margibi Co.)

Speaking at the Ground breaking ceremony, the Margibi senator elect, Emmanuel Nuquay appreciated the citizens of the towns for giving him a second chance to serve and assure the citizens total commitment as a developmental senator.

He mentions that modern politics is no more about retrace but actual deliverable, something he said a lawmaker is someone who have the ability to convince his fellow colleagues in dealing with developmental issues in there county either by advocating to national government put money in the budget or by rallying around friends to raise fund and carry on developments in your county.

“Today we are here with friends and brothers and workmate so that we can rally around to do the Garmaymu bridge project. Besides the bridge project, I came in contact with Mr. Jonathan Lolo, chair for the mamba kaba youth who requested that we build a youth center for you people, so I told him I don’t want to lie to you because we are in an electoral process but let work together after the elections. So we are also here to raise money for the bridge and the youth center the both projects cost is USD 54,000.” He said.

The Senate pro tempore Albert Chie lunch the rally through the chairman on executive at the Liberian senate Saah Joseph with (US $10,000) follow by Montserrado senator Saah Joseph with (US $5,000 and 200 begs of cement).

Others who were in attendance and made pledges include Deputy Speaker J. Fonati Koffa (US $8,000) Rep. Edward Kafia (US$5,000) Rep. Clarence Garh (US $2,000) Rep. Ellen Attoh-Wreh (US $1,500) Rep. Ben A. Fofana (US $2,000) Rep. Tibelrosa Tarpoweh (US $5,000).

Others who were absent but made the contributions through their proxy were Sen. Prince Moye (US $2,000) Senator Blebo Brown (US $2,000), Sen. Edwin Snow (US $2,000), Sen. Thomas Fallah(US $2,000), Sen. Nyonble Kangar Lawrence(US $2000), and Hon. Richard Kangar(US $1,000) .

Meanwhile former representative Saar Gbolie as pledge (US $2.000) while Dr. Marcus Speare pledge ( LRD 200,000).
