Senator Moye Tells Cuttington Graduates: “Education Is A Tool For Social & Economic Transformation”
Bong County Senator Prince K. Moye has described education as a tool for social and economic transformation of any nation in the world.
According to the Bong County Senator, a nation or country can only be developed, when education is been used for social and economic transformation by its people or citizens.
The CPP Senator who served as keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony of the Cuttington University Campus School in Suakoko District over the weekend told the gathering that with the level of young people taking advantage of education he foresees the nation of Liberia becoming an educated society subsequently in this 21st century.
The Liberian Senate Co-Chair on the committee of Education at the same time encouraged the graduates to continue their educational struggle at the level of University.
Senator Moye further told the graduates of the Cuttington University Campus School that education is a pathway to achieving their future goals.
The Bong County developmental Senator revealed they are working on some modality to improve other systems at the Ministry of Education in Liberia, which he believes when it’s done it will help to improve the learning environment for students in Liberia.
Moreover, the Bong County down-to-earth Lawmaker encouraged and extended commendation to parents for their continued support to their children and the Liberian educational system at large.
For his part, the Principal of Cuttington University campus High School, J. Kerkulah Gbartala-Dolo said those students who graduated are students who have completed the curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education.
The school graduated over thirty students with Diploma in the County.
The Cuttington University Campus School Principal boastfully said about 90 percent of his students who sat the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) did extremely well.
Mr. Gbartala-Dolo used the medium for the graduates to be focused as they continue their educational journey in the world.
He cautioned or warned graduates not to be misled by their peers in other to get involved in an act that will have the propensity to derail their family name and the pace processes of Liberia.
The Cuttington University Campus School Principal informed the graduates that they are the wants which society depends on, especially when Liberia is to move forward in turn of development.
