‘Save The State’ Protest In Tapeta, Nimba County Was Peaceful, But Officials Refused Petition

FLASH BCAK: Rep Yekeh Kolubah during the Monrovia June 7th protest

Report from Nimba County says a branch of the Council of Patriots (COP) under the banner of ‘Save the State’ protest drew a huge gathering in Tapeta on the same day, Friday, June 7th, 2019 when Monrovia was locked down by the COP in its daylong protest which ended in a deadlock.

According to GNN Correspondent, hundreds of citizens turned out to vent out their frustration regarding the poor management of the Liberian economy, and to call to order the CDC-led Government in recognizing the plight of the Liberian people who are drowning in abject poverty.

The report said at the end of the day, a proxy from the Superintendent office, Mr. D Dorr Cooper, refused to accept the petition from the local organizers of the Council of Patriots (COP), a situation our sources said created mixed reactions from the citizenry.
