Russian soldiers have been wounded in a Turkish air strike in Syria
DAMASCUS, (BM) – In Syria, two Russian servicemen were injured as a result of a Turkish drone airstrike, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing Kurdish news agency ANHA.
The publication published a photograph showing a man of Slavic appearance with a bandaged hip. He is helped by a man with a bulletproof vest hanging on his shoulder like that of the Russian military.
Nearby is also a man dressed and equipped as a Russian soldier. According to sources from the Syrian Observatory For Human Rights from the scene, one of the wounded is a driver.
According to SOHR, the incident occurred in the area of the focal point of Russia and the “Democratic Forces of Syria” (DSS) in the village of al-Darbasiya in the Syrian province of Hasek.
The village is located directly on the north-eastern border of Syria and Turkey. Judging by the current map of military operations in Syria, this territory is under the complete control of Kurdish formations, there are no nearby locations for militants.
Despite the ceasefire in northwestern Syria, military operations and terrorist attacks continue in the territories controlled by the Syrian Kurds in the north and northeast of the country.
