Rivergee Superintendent, Philip Nyenuh Confirms COVID-19 Positive
The Superintendent of Rivergee County has been confirmed positive of the deadly Coronavirus by health authority in the county, a situation that compelled Liberian government officials, including the Minister of Internal Affairs, Varney Sirleaf in are in to settle land dispute between Rivergee and Maryland County.
According to GNN Correspondent who formed part of the team in the County, yesterday, July 1, 2020, a meeting was held with the presence of Minister Varney, officials of both Maryland and Rivergee to finalize their journey to the disputed boundary today was suspended due to the news released by health authority that the Superintendent of county, Philip Nyenuh had been confirmed positive of the virus.
Our Correspondent speaking via mobile phone, said many of those who were at the first meeting held yesterday, July 1, 2020 including the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Superintendent of Maryland County, members of the media who were there to cover the event, and other officials present may likely be quarantined or tested for the virus.
Rivergee County currently has 8 confirmed cases with 1 recovery and 0 death.
