Religious Advisor To President Weah Warns Against Growing Resentment
The Religious Advisor to the President of the Republic of Liberia Rev. M. Emmanuel Nimely, says the Almighty God is not happy with the nation over the growing level of discourtesy, hatred and resentment among Liberians evidenced by the upsurge of negative expressions on social media and other news outlets.
Rev. Nimely says such behavior is intolerable in the sight of God and calls on Liberians to desist and repent.
He states; “instead of going against one another, Liberians must seek love with each other, pray for the nation and its leaders because reconciliation with each other will lead to sustainable peace, stability and development.”
The Religious Advisor warns that the wrath of God will come upon the nation if Liberians continue to show hatred toward each other and their leaders because no nation and people can go against the will of God.
“This is a serious warning to the entire nation to repent and seek forgiveness and love one another as citizens for a better and prosperous Liberia,” Rev. Nimely states.
He also reminded Liberians of God’s wrath as read in Genesis 19:24-25: “The Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah, brimstone and fire from the Lord out of Heaven; and He overthrew those cities, and all the plains, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.”
