Release of jailed journalists in Myanmar discussed at the UN
Advocates are calling on the UN to take a stronger stand for the release of jailed journalists in Myanmar, Bangladesh and Egypt.

The United States is calling on Myanmar to investigate human rights abuses against Muslim-majority Rohingya, and hold its military accountable.
It comes on the same day that human rights groups are urging for the release of two jailed journalists there who helped expose the abuses.
Al Jazeera’s Kristen Saloomey reports from New York.
