PAL Appoints New Secretary General

The leadership of the Publishers Association of Liberia (PAL) has named the Publisher of GNN-Liberia, Joel Cholo Brooks as it’s new Secretary General.

Mr. Brooks’ appointment by the executive committee of the PAL takes effect, he replaces Mr. James Keizolu who has taken an assignment with the Alternative National Congress (ANC), one of Liberia’s leading opposition political Parties as Communication Officer.
Meanwhile, the new Secretary General of PAL, Mr. Brooks has accepted his preferment, and promised to professionally perform such task given him.

Joel Cholo Brooks is a Liberian journalist who previously worked for several international news outlets including the BBC African Service. He is the CEO of the Global News Network which publishes two local weeklies, The Star and The GNN-Liberia Newspapers. He is a member of the Press Union Of Liberia (PUL) since 1986, and several other international organizations of journalists, and is currently contributing to the South Africa Broadcasting Corporation as Liberia Correspondent.
