According to report, the NSCL in a joint meeting held recently and chaired by the Minister of National Defense, Rt General Daniel D. Ziankahn frowned on how key government actors are heightening tension in the country, a situation they said if not handle with care could plunge the country into an undesirable state, and further urged those involved to desist.
The NSCL Chair, Rt. General Ziankahn during the over nine hour’s joint National Security Council meeting, attributed rising tension to the issuance of a summons by Montserrado County Attorney Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin, on Representative Yekeh Kolubah, and further condemned such action.
According to the report, the NSCL Chairman in his effort to resolve the impasse called for a the dialogue with organizers of the planned June 7 rally and to also address key demands of the planned protesters to find a common ground for the good of the country’s stability.
But a source closed to this outlet, is alleging that the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill aided and provided finances to the ex-rebel generals who recently issued a 72 hours ultimatum to District 10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah that sparked controversy.
