New British passports to be printed in Poland

Apparently, you can take Britain out of the EU, but you cannot take the EU out of Britain. According to the national daily, “The Times”, the post-Brexit iconic blue and gold British passports will be printed in Poland by a Franco/Dutch company.
Brexit transition period will be smooth for Poles
The surprising decision has been made due to EU procurement rules. The 11-year, £260 million, contract was handed to the French multinational group Thales, when it outbid the British De La Rue company.
The new passports will be printed in the town of Tczew in north-central Poland, which will pose a tongue-twister challenge for any Briton trying to answer the question “Where was your new passport printed?”
