LRP Executive Committee Declares Party’s Political Leader, Others ‘Vote Of No Confidence’ Writes NEC
Majority members of the Executive Committee of the opposition Liberia Restoration Party (LRP) have declared three executives including the party’s political leader Allen Brown ‘Vote of no confidence’ for their respective failure of not abiding by the constitution of the party.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the GNN, an executive of the Wilfred Alvin Wade has disclosed that those who have been declared ‘Vote of no confidence’ are given 72 hours to hand over all properties of the party in their possession, failure to do so a lawsuit will be issued.
In the resolution signed to by nine members of the executive committee, noted that these officials concerned include Mr. Allen Brown; former Political Leader of the Party, Mr. Gabriel Salee; former National Chairman and Biz Mackie Harper; former Secretary General, noting that these officials are no more part of the Liberia Restoration Party (LRP).

Resolution By The National Executive Committee Liberia Restoration Party ( LRP)
We the undersigned, comprised of a majority of the National Executive Committee of Liberia Restoration Party consent and agreed that the following resolutions were made on the 24h day of May 2023 at the Headquarters of the Liberia Restoration Party located on Gibson, 18 Street, Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia.
We hereby, consent to the adoption of the following as if it was adopted at a regular called meeting of the National Executive Committee of Liberia Restoration Party in accordance with the bylaws and Constitution of the party decided unanimously that,
1. A vote of no CONFIDENCE is PASSED and ENFORCE on Mr. Allen Brown for the position of Standard Bearer whom Standard Bearer position came out of a controversial Convention for non-residential clause (Not lived in the country for the past 10 years), failure to fulfill his financial obligation and commitment to the party thus leaving the party legal requirements with the National Election’s Commission at stake as it relates to the party Bank Account and indemnity Bond.
2. That a vote of no Confidence is PASSED and ENFORCED on Gabriel Salee as acting Chairman for his failure to adhere to the mandate of firstly reconciling the party and his unilateral decision-making in the party which has deepened the division and controversy that has existed in the party over the last five years and his insensitivity to the rights of the party Executives and members by unilaterally denying them to participate in the party decision-making process and activities coupled with his tyrant attitude and lack of accountability of funds collected by him for the party and his acts of nepotism imposing and manipulating his family and close associates in key leadership positions such as the Secretary-General who is his relative and driver and the chairman of the controversial Convention Committee who is his brother-in-law.
3. A vote of no Confidence is PASSED and ENFORCED on Mr. Biz Mackie Harper as Secretary General who was appointed and manipulated into the position of Secretary General by Mr. Gabriel Salee through the controversial Convention.
Now, Therefore, it is resolved that the party shall,
1. Hold National Convention on May 26-27, 2023 at the National Headquarters to fill all vacant positions in the National Executive Committee including the Standard Bearer position.
2. That the Convention Committee shall be dissolve on May 28, 2023
4. That all other positions being occupied in the party National Executive committee with the exception of the Standard Bearer, Chairman and Secretary shall be held by the individuals occupying those positions and they shall continue to occupy those positions up to the Convention.
4. That Mr. Allan Brown, Gabriel Salee and Mr.Biz Mackie Harper shall seize from doing business for and on behalf of the party and are mandated to turn over all the Party assets, liabilities, keys of the Headquarters offices and documents as of the date of the passing of this resolution and his failure to adhere to this resolution shall leave the National Executive Committee with no other alternative but to take the necessary legal actions.
Wherefore, we the undersigned National Executive Committee of Liberia Restoration Party constituting a quorum of the National. Executive Committee consent and agreed to all of the above on this 24th day of May 2023.

We present our compliments and hope that your challenging elections management work is going well.
The National Executive Committee of Liberia Restoration Party takes this opportunity to inform the National Elections Commission that the party has passed and enforced a vote of no confidence in the below-listed individuals,
1. Allen Brown -Former Standard Bearer
2. Gabriel Salee -Former Chairman
3. Biz Mackie Harper – Former Secretary General
This decision was taken at a meeting of the National Executive Committee held on May 24, 2023 at the party National Headquarters on Gibson Avenue, 18 Street, Sinkor Monrovia, Liberia at the hour of 3:00 P.M.
In view of the above, the National Elections Commission is asked to stop doing business with the above-mentioned individuals in the name of the party.
Accordingly, the National Elections Commission is kindly requested to observe our Convention to elect a Standard Bearer, Chairman, and Secretary General, and other vacant National Executive Committee positions to fill the vacant positions and adopt a Constitution.
The National Elections Commission is kindly asked to do business with Mr. Abass Lakkis Vice Chairman for Administration pending the National Convention at which time the party shall Submit the list of the National Executive Committee and officials of the party. We will appreciate having a meeting with you at your most convenient time and venue.
