22 February the National Elections Commission or NEC will rule in the electoral “frauds and irregularities” case involving Candidate Edith Gongloe-Weh of the Collaborating Political Parties or CPP versus Candidate Jeremiah Kpan Koung of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction or MDR.
According to a notice issued Friday, 19 February in Monrovia, Hearing Officer or Fact-finder Counselor Boakai Harris, hired by the Commission will decided the matter at 12: noon.
Therefore, therefore both the complainant and defense counsels are expected to be in full attendance as final argument in the case was rested or held on Saturday, 13 February.
The action of electoral frauds and irregularities case is amongst the 9 remaining electoral matters which the Commission is investigating or investigated for more than two months and it is time now for it to be disposed of.
During the final argument complainant, Edith Gongloe-Weh called for a rerun of some electoral districts, and recount of the ballots in certain polling places in some electoral districts in Nimba County.
While Jeremiah Kpan Koung objected preying the fact-finder to dismissed the matter on ground because of the lack “materiality and particularity” of the complainant.
