Liberians Overwhelm To Observe All Health Protocols, Amidst COVID-19 Quest To Ravage Liberia

Following the release of guidelines aimed at preventing the deadly COVID-19 from ravaging of several communities in Monrovia and its environs leaving some health workers to lose their lives, many have realized the importance of taken all the necessary preventive measures for fear of lockdown as be warned by Liberia’s Minister of Health.

Few days ago, Liberia’s Health Minister, Dr. Wilhemina Jallah called on all Liberians including foreign residents to take the COVID-19 crisis seriously by following all the necessary preventive measures; including the wearing of masks, observe social distancing and the washing of hands at all times.

Dr. Jallah further threatened that the failure of Liberians and foreign residents to follow all health protocols, they should be prepared for another round of lockdown, this utterance on the part of the Minister compelled most Liberians do as been urged by the health minister.

Some Liberians who spoke to GNN roving reporters,  said the Minister’s statement must be taken seriously, noting, “We are not prepare to face another lockdown, the first one that was ordered by the President Weah made many to be put out of business; even the stimulus package that was ordered by President Weah is yet to be received, we are not prepare”, Sarah Thomas, a resident of central Monrovia in a chat with our staff noted.

Like Sarah, several others who spoke to the GNN could be seen with their masks, following the preventive measures talked about by Dr. Jallah, and for fear of the Minister’s proposed lock-down for Liberian
