As Liberians complain of economy hardship, and the alleged misused of the country’s resources by some officials of the CDC-led government, Bomi County Senator Sando Johnson has publicly accused officials in this government as vampires who he said are enriching themselves overnight from the country’s resources, and the taxpayers’ money.
Addressing a major news conference this week, the Bomi County lawmaker described Nathaniel McGill; Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Samuel Tweah; Minister of Finance, Development & Planning, Jefferson Koijee; Mayor of the City of Monrovia and Mulbah Morlu, National Chairman of the ruling CDC as ‘Vampires’ shamelessly misusing taxpayers’ money with impunity.
Senator Johnson further that if President fails to release these people of their respective positions this country will be plunked into a serious financial crisis which eventually lead to more hardships for the people of Liberia.
He accused these officials of buying properties worth thousands of United States Dollars in a shortest period of time without remorse, while majority of the population is drowning in abject poverty.
“President Weah must see reason to dismiss these guys if his government must succeed; they are not helping him, but rather to bring his government to public disrepute,” Senator in a rather furious and aggressive state told journalists during the news conference.
In reaction to Senator Johnson’s statement, some supporters who called on a local radio stations via mobile phones this morning condemned Senator Johnson’s assertions, noting that he should not be given preference, asking all concerned Liberians to condemn his call by describing some officials of the President Weah-led Government as Vampires.
