LIBERIA: The People Of Maryland County Petition John Ballout To Contest As Senator

Hundreds of Marylanders have petitioned their former Senator, John A. Ballout to contest in the December 8 midterm senatorial election as an independent candidate, noting that they have explicit confidence in their former Senator and urged him to run again.
The occasion which was colorful was held at the Pleebo City Hall on September 6, 2020, and brought together hundreds of supporters of Mr. Ballout’s quest for the County’s senatorial seat; the Friends of John Ballout were the organizers of the program, according to our Correspondent.
The petition statement which was read Ferdinna G.K Krah, said they are aware that John A. Ballout is a full member of the Unity Party (UP) which is part of the four Collaborating Political Parties ( CPP), but CPP has already conducted its primary before your arrival in the County, “Therefore, We the Friends of Hon. John A.Ballout in Maryland County will stand with you and massively support your bid to the fullest until you are declared winner on December 8, 2020 Senatorial elections,” they friends of John Ballout noted.
“Honorable Ballout don’t worry we know what you can do, we are proud of you, Marylanders benefited a lot during the time you was serving as Senator, You will even do more if elected again,” Krah in the petition statement said.
Addressing his supporters, the former Maryland County Senator said, “My supporters, residents, and citizens of Maryland County, l am overwhelmed for the level of support you have given me, please continue to support me so that we all can celebrate victory at the end of the Midterm Senatorial elections, my good people of Maryland county let me inform you today, I have come to contest this election for two reasons which include to win this election peacefully, and to stop James P Biney Former Harper district Representative, and Senator H. Dean Morais from winning this election because they are wicked to you the citizens of Maryland county,” Mr. Ballout addressing his supporter said.
Speaking further he said he is prepared to contest the election as Independent candidate, stressing, “nothing can stop me from contesting this election, I have served the County with good character during President Sirleaf time, but since I left the County it has gone backward, in this light, I am here to bring about change again in Maryland County positively, thank you for coming,” he told his supporters.
