ZWEDRU (LINA) – A murder trial awaits six young men at the 7th Judicial Circuit Court in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, after the Magisterial Court conducted a preliminary hearing and, as due, transferred the case to the upper court on jurisdictional grounds.

Two of them are said to be drivers of the commercial transport truck and the rest, conductors.

Onboard the truck with the plate number C-51165 that got stuck in the mud, the accused alleged the victim had gone to steal from the vehicle; labeled him a rogue and beat him to death, according to the indictment.

Meanwhile., the defendants have been remanded at the National Palace of Corrections (NPC) on the outskirts of Zwedru until the Circuit Court is ready to call the case.

Police in the county were making moves to impound the blue and white truck which contains goods.

The deceased has since been buried after a 15-man coronary jury conducted examination on the body to determine cause of death.
