LIBERIA: SEGAL Boss, Momo Cyrus Presents LD100K To Lofa County University Students Association…
The General Manager/CEO of the Security Expert Guard Agency (SEGAL), Mr. Momo T. Cyrus has presented One Hundred Thousand Liberia Dollars (100,000 LD) to the Lofa County University Students Association (LUSA).
Presenting the amount to the leadership of LUSA on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, on the main campus of the University of Liberia, the Administrative Assistant to Mr. Cyrus, Mr. Abraham Delleh Wala said the leadership of LUSA wrote Mr. Cyrus who is a stakeholder of Lofa County to assist the students in paying their fees.
He said that Mr. Momo T. Cyrus is one person in Liberia and Lofa County who believes in the hallmarked of education and the forward of education that which a society stance frame in the rebuilding process accepted to come to the aid of the students.
“He has asked me to come and represent him to give this amount of One Hundred Thousand Liberia Dollars (100,000 LD) to the leadership of LUSA. He also urged the leadership to use this amount for the intended purpose by ensuring that students be the direct beneficiaries of this amount to enable them to remain in school.”
In respond, the President of the Lofa County University Students Association (LUSA), Mr. Stephen T. Yambasue said on October 21, 2022, Executives of the LUSA organized a fund-raising program to help struggling students from Lofa County attending the state-run university to address the issue of registration fees.
According to him LUSA wrote Mr. Momo T. Cyrus as one of its personalities invited to grace the program and to contribute to the fund-raising program for students in difficult situation to finalize their registration process to enable them stay in classes.
The LUSA President noted that upon receipt of their communication, Mr. Cyrus immediately invited the leadership to his office to have a conversation at which time he promised to make his presence felt at the program.
Speaking further, Mr. Yambasue indicated that during the fund-raising program, Mr. Cyrus made a pledged of LD$100,000 as his way of helping to mitigate the situation being faced with by students from the county attending the university of Liberia.
“Yesterday, we received information that he will be sending a team to us to present a check of LD$100,000 to the Executive of LUSA.
Once again, on behalf of the Lofa County University Students Association (LUSA), we want to extend our thanks and appreciation to Hon. Momo T. Cyrus for his contribution in amount of LD$100,000 intended to rescue students of Lofa County attending the University of Liberia.
We promised him to hold us accountable in making sure that students benefit from his gesture and to ensure that we committed to transparency in administration of this amount, whatever transaction is done, we will make sure to him a full report of the usage of the amount.
