LIBERIA: Mysterious Deaths, Disappearances Overwhelm Liberia, Man, 48, Who Was Kidnapped Explains Ordeal

Liberians have been engulfed with fear, back with continues mysterious deaths and disappearances of innocent people around the country, particularly the nation’s capital and its environs without punitive action been taken address these situations.

This morning, September 27, 2021, a man believed to be his late 40s who was kidnapped while riding on a tricycle on Jamaica Road, Bushrod Island, Monrovia by unknown persons allegedly for ritualistic purposes was found in the hard forest of Bong County, 105 miles from Monrovia.

Narrating his nightmare on OK FM today, the man name withheld said, he board the tricycle last week from Jamaica Road for central Monrovia, but while on the way to town (central Monrovia) surprisingly a man sitting with him in the tricycle placed handkerchief in his face which eventually made him to be unconscious.

He said when he regained consciousness, he found himself in a hard forest where he met other innocent who were reportedly queued to be killed; he displayed photos of the house from where he was taken to by the unknown men including a boy believed to be in his 20s.

He said with the help of a hunter in the Bong County forest who was on his hunting expedition rescue him and was able to show him the way for his destination back to Monrovia, noting, “This hunter who saw me told me this is not the first time of such incident, he said several have been taken in the forest by unknown persons for ritualistic purposes”, the man told OK FM.

Few weeks ago  similar incident happened when a lady who was again kidnapped, according to the victim, she had embarked on a commercial motorbike and was headed for Redlight when the rider of the bike placed another passenger behind her.

She revealed that while on their way, the passenger that was picked up rubbed something on her face believed to be a handkerchief which left her unconscious and taken to an unknown location in the Coco Cola Factory Community. She further revealed to Police investigators that after few hours, she was released on grounds that she was menstruating and that the alleged kidnappers’ policy was totally against dealing with women of such. She said at that moment she gained consciousness and she was dropped off somewhere in the Coca Cola Factory community.

After receiving said complaint, the LNP launched an immediate investigation in ascertaining facts surrounding the victim’s claims and ensuring that perpetrators are made to face the full weight of the law.
