LIBERIA: Man, 50, Commits Suicide In Rivercess County

Flash Back: Man hanged himself in Harper, Maryland County

Report from the southeaster county of River Cess says police are investigating an alleged suicide incident involving deceased victim William Sackie, 50 years old and a former resident of Boegeezy Town, Morweh District, who alleged committed a suicide.

It can be recalled on April 3, 2022 suspect Sackie was arrested, investigated and duly charged with sodomy for allegedly Sodomizing a 15 year old boy of Buein Town, Rivercess County.

On April 4, 2022, suspect William Sackie was forwarded to the Morweh District Magisterial Court for prosecution.

Due to lack of prison facility in Morweh District, convict Sackie’s living body was requested by the Rivercess County Attorney, Atty. Martin M. Tumoe to be detained at the Morweh Police withholding cell pending transfer to Cestos City Prison Compound on the following day.

Police investigation has established that, on April 5, 2022 at 9:00AM, deceased convict was discovered in the police cell hanging at the window with a rope in his neck.

Based upon the alleged suicide incident, a 15 men Jurors was summoned including Medical practitioners to established the cause of death.

After their examination, it was reported that there was no foul play, but the deceased victim died as a result of hanging himself.

Meanwhile, his remains was requested and received by his family members for burial.
